WHAT WE BELIEVE
The Holy Bible
The Holy Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God and is inerrant in the original writings.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Trinity
There is only ONE true and living God existing in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(Genesis 1:1-3; John 10:30; John 15:26; John 16:13; 1 John 4:15)
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to this earth as Savior of the world. Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, shed His blood on Calvary in our place, was buried, rose again and ascended to the Father. Jesus Christ is the doorway to the Kingdom of God.
(Luke 1:26-33; John 3:16; John 3:36, John 14:6; Romans 5:8)
Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit releases power into the life of the believer by baptizing the believer into Jesus Christ and enabling the believer to exercise rule and dominion in the earth.
(John 16:13; Acts 1:4-8, I Corinthians 12: 4-11)
The Kingdom of God
The Kingdom of God is God’s sovereign rule & reign in the earth as it is in heaven; it is the manifestation of the King’s (Jesus Christ) dominion through the church.
(Matthew 6:9- 10; Isaiah 9:6-7)
Our Purpose
Man was created in the image of God, and was chosen by God to bring the Kingdom of God to the earth as it is in heaven.
(Genesis 1:26-28; Psalm 115:16, I Peter 2:9)
Salvation
A person accepts Jesus Christ as his/her personal Lord & Savior through a confession of faith that Jesus is Lord and the belief in the heart that God raised Him from the dead.
(Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-9)
Giving
Giving tithes and offerings is an act of worship, holy and consecrated unto God.
Tithing is a tenth of all our increase.
(Deuteronomy 8:18; Proverbs 3:9-10; Isaiah 48:17; Malachi 3:7-12; Malachi 3:7-12; Matthew 23:23; Luke 6:38)
The offering – our monetary sacrifice to God, is over and above the tithe and is given in appreciation and by our free will.
(Genesis 8:22; Exodus 22:29-30; Malachi 3:3; Psalms 27:6; 2 Corinthians 9:6-8; Genesis 14:18-20; Leviticus 7:30-31, 34; Numbers 18:8-9,11; Numbers 18:21, 24; 1 Timothy 5:16-18)
Water Baptism
Water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing power of the blood of Christ and a testimony to our faith in the Lord Jesus.
(Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:3-6)
The Lord's Supper
The regular serving of communion is an act of remembering the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross.
(John 6:53-8, 1 Corinthians 11:17-34)
Creation
The world was created according to Genesis chapter 1 in the Holy Bible.
God's Will for Believers
Ministry is for the whole man - spirit, soul and body (Psalms 23:3; I Thessalonians 5:23; 3 John 2), and we are to renew our minds daily by the Word of God in order to think with the mind of Christ.
(Romans 12:1-2; Ephesians 4:23-29; Philippians 4:8; Colossians 3:2)
The Church
The Body of Christ is the Church, a living organism, and is a Body with many members. The Body/The Church is the entity whereby Christ will demonstrate His power in the earth.
(Luke 17:20-21, 19:13; I Corinthians 12:12-28)
Baptism of the Holy Spirit
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is evidenced by the speaking in other tongues. And that speaking in tongues is a source of edification for the Believer as well as the Believer’s empowerment to pray the perfect will of God for the saints.
(Acts 2:4; Romans 8:26; Ephesians 5:18-21; Jude 1:20)
Faith
Faith, trusting in God, is a way of life for the Believer. And it is the manner in which we receive from God, our salvation, our healing, our daily provisions, etc.
(Mark 11:22- 24; Romans 1:17; Hebrews 11:1; 6)
Five-fold Ministry Gifts
The five-fold ministry offices/gifts - Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers - as spiritual leaders in the Body of Christ. Their purpose is to equip and mature the Church.
(Acts 6:3-6; Ephesians 4:1-16, I Timothy 3:1-13, I Peter 5:1-4)
The Life of the Believer
Godly living and the pursuit of a holy life should be the goal of every believer.
(Romans 12:1; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14; I Peter 1:15; 3 John 3:2-3)
The Gifts of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit ministers to His people through tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy, words of knowledge and wisdom, discerning of spirits, faith, working of miracles, and healing.
(Mark 16:15-18; Acts 5:16; I Corinthians 12:1-11; Luke 4:18)
Worship
All humanity was created to worship God. And obedience to the commands of God is the essence of worship. Worship is also expressed in song, dance and with the raising of our hands, clapping of hands, laughing, tears, etc.
(2 Samuel 6:16; Psalms 47:1, 63:4; 103:1; 126:2; 134:2; 150:1-6; John 4:24)
Second Coming
The personal return of our Lord Jesus Christ is imminent.
(I Corinthians 15:50-58)
The Resurrection
The saved and the lost will be resurrected, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.
(Matthew 19:27-30; Romans 5:6-21; Galatians 6:8; I Corinthians 15:50-58)
